Welcome to the 2nd episode! 🎙️

### Introduction

This time, I'm in conversation with Oliver Mudge, whose perspective and experience encompass talent and growth consulting for both Startups and VC.

Oliver reflects on his transition from CSR and Risk into climate tech, the different dynamics of working with startups and VCs, and the rewards that placing talent in organisations brings in the medium and long term. 🤝

The discussion also covers the challenges of scaling teams, the importance of proactive talent planning, change management, and the role of company culture in fast-paced environments. How to embed a winning and rewarding culture in an organisation that's in continuous flux is a key challenge for climate tech startups.

> "Culture has to be intentional."

People and culture are big topics in this conversation, and similarly in EP1 with Amrit Chandan, who considered that 'people are the greatest challenge' - some important alignment and takeaways here! 💡

> "People are your biggest critical asset."

Oliver emphasises the need for a comprehensive talent strategy, the significance of education in preparing for future climate jobs, and the importance of youth perspectives in shaping a sustainable future. 📝

We conclude with reflections on his career in recruitment, highlighting the critical role of people in driving organisational success.

> "It's a people-led transition."
